Comment policy

Your comments are invited and welcome. PLEASE FEEL FREE TO COMMENT ON OLD POSTS – comments are open and welcome there, too.

It isn’t my style to pose questions or comment for the heck of it – I’ll trust to your fertile mind to respond to anything in my posts that starts the branching-in-many-directions thought process.

I have limited energy, so I may not respond right away – but I will read everything, and reply if I have something to add. As on all blogs, this policy is to suit myself, and may be changed – especially if it ever comes to a point where I can’t handle it.

I reserve the right to edit, delete, and moderate comments to maintain civility. I will shut down comment threads if necessary. If you don’t like this policy, please start your own blog, and set things up as you wish.

Edited 5/26/13:SPAM BAIT – or looks like it

If you wish to leave a comment, please make sure it isn’t the kind of thing that might be mistaken for spam. I went to see whether any legitimate comments got stuck in the spam filter (Akismet). Most were obvious spam, but a few were not, and, trying to be fair, I checked out the various identifiers (icon, profile, website) that were attached – and immediately got sick to my stomach. I am an adult, and don’t consider myself a prude, but the graphic assault was something I won’t take another chance on. From now on, Akismet makes my spam decisions.

Edited 3/1/2015: LINKS IN COMMENTS

I’m surprised this hasn’t come up before, but if you are a regular commenter, you are welcome to leave a relevant link or two in your comment – to whatever you like: your blog, someone else’s blog, or some other site. Just be responsible for what you post and we’ll be fine.

Comments welcome and valued. Thanks!
